I don’t believe in magic, a lot of superstitious hocus pocus. I’m going after a find of incredible historical significance, you’re talking about the boogie man.

The internet’s most beloved geek, Wil Wheaton, calls out misogyny in gaming, and confronts the men who attack him for doing so. Incredible.

Wil wheaton is another sheep who is blind to things wrong with gaming and gaming journalism because some people have cleverly used a legitimate rights movement to advance their crooked agenda.

I don’t know if this is purely sarcasm, or if you’re just a shit head.

The things this is all about

  • Traditionalists fearing the fact that journos are interested in auteurs and the avant-garde (and mis-characterising it as collusion and nepotism)
  • People who don’t like the new demographics flooding into gaming b/c it was meant to be their hidey-hole where they could get a false sense of social worth
  • People who feel entitled to say whatever they want, wherever they want at any time and just get reflexively angry at things like “moderation” and “letting someone know when they’re being doxxed”.

The thing this is not really about

  • corrupt journalists conspiring to push their fiendish agenda and pave the way to accepting, independent-friendly hellscape(? Seriously, that’s it? How does that not sound awesome? Man, they should push for that).
